I absolutely LOVE this idea from Free People BLDG 25 blog. It is such an original idea! I want to do this next year on my iron scroll headboard. What a pretty way to decorate for Halloween.

The Uncarved Pumpkin
Don't you hate it when you follow certain bloggers and then they just stop writing....you wonder what happened to them....are they sick? on vacation? have carpal tunnel syndrome? What?!
I would love to say I've been on vacation [my choice would be Bora Bora] for the past two weeks, but that is not the case. I'm not sick, not even a sneeze. I've just been extremely tied down by work and some family issues, and before I realized it several weeks had blown by. Sorry! I will try not to let this happen again. But enough about that.....let's talk about the uncarved pumpkin.
I'm trying to get into the whole fall thing, but it's so hard when the weather won't cooperate. Last week it was finally starting to feel like fall--the days had cooled to the mid-70s, the nights were downright chilly, and the Big Fresno Fair was in town. I even bought pumpkins for my front porch. This week, the weather is playing cruel games with us as the weather forecast has us back up in the mid-to-high 80s for at least a week. I am NOT happy about this.
As I said, I purchased pumpkins -- three of them with the intention of painting them, not carving them. I am not a big Halloween person, but I love fall. I want these pumpkins to last beyond October 31st all the way up to Thanksgiving. So I am using the inspiring uncarved pumpkins of Pinterest as my muse. I will definitely post pictures of my painted pumpkins when I am finished. But for now, be inspired like I am......and check out my Pinterest boards for even more fall inspirations.
