The Vintage Market at 601

Over the weekend I found a new (to me) place to shop for an eclectic mix of vintage and modern goodies. The Vintage Market at 601 has been on Shaw Avenue for about eight months and has such a cool vibe to it - I walked in and immediately was drawn to the artful displays and tasteful vignettes featuring furniture, clothing, jewelry and art. There are six co-owners who also work in the store. The guy who was there last Saturday was quick to offer me a chilled bottle of water to enjoy as I wandered from room to room. Feel good community support: The Vintage Market is now a part of Art Hop on Thursday evenings as it features the work of local artists. I ended up buying a vintage bracelet made of glass beads for a mere $15. I promised to return when I have a little more money and time to spend here.

This antique sewing table doubles as a beautiful jewelry box. On top of it sits a glass dome on a metal stand with rosettes.

This collection of vintage mirrors makes a bold statement when hung together on a wall.
